Lock Windows 10 Automatically When Out Of Bluetooth Range

This is a great feature for security because you can automatically lock your Windows 10 computer when you step away from it and out of Bluetooth range. The Windows 10 can use devices that are paired with your computer like your cell phone or smart watch to help detect when you’re away, and lock your computer shortly after your paired device is out of Bluetooth range. This makes it more difficult for someone to gain access to your computer if you step away from it and forget to lock it. The last time the automatically lock computer helped me was when I left my laptop unattended in a restaurant to get my food. It also saved some battery life by turning off the screen after a while.

Here are the steps to set Windows 10 to automatically lock your computer when out of Bluetooth range.

1. Right-click the START button that is usually located on the bottom left corner of the screen and choose SETTINGS option.

2. Click the ACCOUNTS category.

3. Click the SIGN-IN OPTIONS on the left pane.

4. Under the "Dynamic lock", click the check box labeled "Allow Windows to automatically lock your device when you're away" to put a check in it.

5. Click the red X button located at the top right corner of the Settings window.
