Turn Off Power Saving Options On Windows 10 Pro

The power saving option of the Windows 10 operating system is very useful on mobile devices that operates on batteries like laptop computers. The power saving option will automatically turn off the monitor or put the laptop to sleep when left idle to save battery charge. Even though the power saving option is targeted on computers operating on batteries, it is also useful on desktop computers that are always plugged in to the power outlet because you can save from electricity consumption. There will be times that the power saving option will make your computer freeze on certain applications that may be best to turn it off temporarily in such situations.

Here are the steps to turn off the power saving option of the Windows 10 Pro operating system.

1. Right-click on the START button that is usually located on the bottom left corner of the screen and choose POWER OPTIONS option.


2. Click on the pull down menu under the Screen category labeled "When plugged in, turn off after" to show the options.


3. Scroll down the options by using the scroller on the right edge.


4. Click the NEVER option.


5. Click on the pull down menu under the Sleep category labeled "When plugged in, PC goes to sleep after" to show the options.


6. Scroll down the options by using the scroller on the right edge.


7. Click the NEVER option.


8. Click the X button located on the top right corner of the Power & Sleep window to save the settings.
