Microsoft operates a location service on the Windows 10 operating system to determine the accurate location of the computer or user. This service is used to streamline the directions, advertisements, and establishments around the users location. It is also helpful for the Windows operating system to automatically set the time zone and more. Some programs and services also uses the location history for the same purpose of streamlining location specific services. If the programs that you are using are indicating the wrong location, you can clear the location history to refresh the setting.
Here are the steps to clear the location history on Windows 10 Pro.
1. Right-click on the START button that is usually located on the bottom left corner of the screen and choose SETTINGS option.
2. Click on the PRIVACY category.
3. Click the LOCATION category on the left pane.
4. Scroll down the Location page by using the mouse scroll wheel or by dragging the slider on the right edge until you find the "Location history" option.
5. Click the CLEAR button that is under the "Location history" option.
