The temporary files are data that applications stores on the hard drive of your computer for retrieval the next time you use them for faster execution of commands. Deleting the temporary files is helpful for troubleshooting data and applications issues because they can get corrupted sometimes. The temporary files can also accumulate on the hard drive over time and that it is important to delete them from time to time to free up hard drive space as well as for improving performance. 1. Right-click on the START button that is located on the bottom left corner of the screen and click on SYSTEM option.
2. Click the STORAGE category on the left pane.
3. Click the TEMPORARY FILES option on the right pane.
Windows will scan for temporary files on the computer which will take a while.
4. You can choose if which temporary files that you want to delete. Click the REMOVE FILES button afterwards.
