The Desktop of the Windows 10 operating system is the first view that appears after turning on the computer and logged in which is the same on previous versions except on Windows 8/8.1. The Desktop is the place where the shortcut icons of programs, folders, and files are located so that you can quickly open them. The icons can be resized, arranged, and deleted as well. You can also change the background picture of the desktop, also known as wallpaper, to other pictures including your own. You can think of the Desktop as a working table too just like the Taskbar where your tools are laid to work on something. If your Desktop icons are missing and nobody deleted them, it is possible that your desktop was just set to hide the icons.
Here are the steps to show the Desktop icons on Windows 10.
1. Right-click on any part of the Desktop view, choose VIEW option, and then choose SHOW DESKTOP ICONS option.
