Set Windows 8.1 To Open .PNG Files In Microsoft Paint

The .PNG (Portable Network Graphics) is a raster-graphics file format that supports lossless data compression as well as transparency. The Windows 8.1 operating system will open .PNG files in the Windows Photo Viewer by default. You can set the Microsoft Paint software as the default program to open .PNG files so that it will only take double-click to open them. In this way, it is faster to open .PNG files and edit them right away. You can always change back the default software to open .PNG files or choose another photo editor as the default program in processing them.
