Set Mozilla Firefox Version 79 Not To Offer Saving Of Password

Web browser developers continue to add features to make our internet browsing experience more convenient. Just like most if not all browsers available, they have the feature to save our usernames and passwords into the software itself so that we do not have to type them in every time we sign on to our online accounts. The online digital accounts have been an integral part of our lives because we now tend to do everything through the internet. Though saving your online accounts' credentials into the web browser is convenient, this can pose security risk by exposing them to people who might end up in front of your computer while it is unlocked. Having your online accounts' credentials fall into the wrong hands can do irreversible damage to you especially financially. For optimum security, it is best to set the browser not to offer saving of your usernames and passwords when signing on to your online accounts.

Here are the steps to set the Mozilla Firefox web browser version 79 not to offer saving of usernames and passwords when signing on. The steps are just the same or similar to fairly older or newer versions.

1. Click the MENU icon that looks like three lines on top of each other located at the top right corner of the Mozilla Firefox window, and then click on OPTIONS to go to the preferences.

2. Click the PRIVACY & SECURITY category on the left side.

3. Scroll down the Browser Privacy page by using the scroller on the right edge of the Mozilla Firefox window until you reach the "Logins and Passwords" category.

4. Click the tick box labeled "Ask to save logins and passwords for websites" to remove the check in it.

5. Click the X button located at the top right corner of the Mozilla Firefox window.
