Since we now live in a digital online world where signing on to our online accounts is part of our regular task, web browser developers have incorporated features to save our user names and passwords into the web browser itself so that we do not have to type our credentials anymore when we log in for convenience sake. However, saving your credentials to the web browser pose security risk because any person who can get a hold of your computer unlocked will be able to steal your user names and passwords and they can do unrecoverable damages. For optimum security, you have to drop the convenience of saving your credentials into the web browser by setting the Google Chrome software not to offer you to save your user name and password when signing on to your online accounts.
Here are the steps to set the Google Chrome web browser version 84 not to offer saving of password when signing on. These steps are just the same or similar to fairly older or newer versions.
1. Click the CUSTOMIZE AND CONTROL icon that looks like three dots arranged vertically located at the top right corner of the Google Chrome window, and then click on SETTINGS option.

2. Under the "Autofill" category, click the PASSWORDS option.

3. Click on the switches labeled "Auto Sign-in" and "Offer to save passwords" respectively to turn them off.

4. Click the X button located at the top right corner of the Google Chrome window.
