The Mozilla Firefox, or simply called Firefox, is a free open source web browser developed by the Mozilla Foundation. You can download any kinds of files on the internet using the Firefox and it will directly download them to the Download folder of the Windows operating system by default. When downloading different types of files, it would be best if you can easily organize them right at the download phase so that you do not have to do it later on. You can set the Firefox software to always ask you where you want to save a file each time you download it. In this way, you can directly store video files, music files, image files, etc. to their respective folders.
Here are the steps to set the Mozilla Firefox web browser version 79.0 for Windows to always ask you where to save files when downloading them. The steps are just the same or similar to fairly older or newer versions.
1. Click the MENU icon that looks like three horizontal lines on top of each other located at the top right corner of the Mozilla Firefox window, and then click on OPTIONS to open the preferences.
2. Scroll down the preferences by using the scroll bar on the right edge of the Mozilla Firefox window until you reach the Files and Application section.
3. Click the radio dial labeled "Always ask you where to save files" to activate it.
4. Click the X button at the top right corner.
