The Mozilla Firefox web browser is free and open source software made available to you under the terms of the Mozilla Public License. This means you may use, copy and distribute Firefox to others. The web browser can be used to download all kinds of files on the internet such as music, videos, documents, and so on. By default, the Mozilla Firefox software will automatically save all the files that you download to the Download folder of the Windows operating system. If you will be downloading the same type of file in succession, like videos, you can change the default download folder to another folder of your choosing. In this case, the videos that you downloaded are easier to find and already organized where you want them to be. This is less work as you do not have manually transfer them anymore to a designated video folder afterwards.
Here are the steps to set a default download folder on Mozilla Firefox web browser version 79.0 for Windows. The steps are just the same or similar to fairly older or newer versions.
1. Click the MENU icon that looks like three horizontal lines on top of each other located at the top right corner of the Mozilla Firefox window, and then click on OPTIONS to open the preferences.
2. Scroll down the preferences by using the scroller on the right edge of the Mozilla Firefox window until you reach the Files and Applications section.
3. Under the "Downloads" category, make sure the radio dial labeled "Save files to" is the one chosen, then click on BROWSE button.
4. Navigate and click the folder that you want as the default download folder, which in this case, click the VIDEOS folder.
5. Click the SELECT FOLDER button afterwards.
