Remove/Uninstall Extensions On Google Chrome Version 84

The Google Chrome extensions, also known as add-ons on other web browsers, are small programs that can be installed to the web browser itself to add features or capability ranging from clocks, downloader, screen grabber, and so on. There are times that extensions can cause problems due to it being poorly written or outdated. They can also drag down the performance of the web browser if you installed too many and can also cause conflicts. You can turn off extensions that you will not needing for a long time and just turn them back on once there is a need for them. Turning off the extensions is also one of the troubleshooting steps to troubleshoot web browsers, like finding which feature that is causing the freezing or hanging. For extensions that were deprecated and those that you do not intend to use anymore, it is best to uninstall them instead. Removing extensions that are not needed anymore will give more working space to the web browser.

Here are the steps to remove or uninstall extensions on Google Chrome web browser version 84 for Windows, these steps are just the same or similar to fairly older or newer versions.

1. Click the CUSTOMIZE AND CONTROL icon that looks like three dots arranged vertically located at the top right corner of the Google Chrome window, choose MORE TOOLS, and then click on EXTENSIONS option.


2. Click the REMOVE button for the extensions that you need to remove.


3. Click the REMOVE button to confirm.
