Remove/Uninstall Extensions (Add-Ons) On Brave Web Browser

The Brave software is a free and open-source web browser developed by Brave Software, Inc. based on the Chromium engine. Brave is famous for sharing revenue to users so that they will earn money while browsing the internet as well as for content providers to earn rewards. The Brave web browser can be modified by installing small software module called extensions, also known as add-ons, such as clocks, password managers, cookie management, and so on. You can install many extensions but each one of them will add to the load of the web browser that can cause slowness. Poorly written extensions can also cause conflicts and freezing and they should be disabled or better yet removed.

Here are the steps to remove or uninstall extensions on Brave web browser for Windows.

1. Click the CUSTOMIZE AND CONTROL icon that looks like three horizontal lines on top of each other located at the top right corner of the Brave window, and then click on EXTENSIONS option.

2. Find the extension that you want to uninstall and click its REMOVE button.

3. Click the REMOVE button of the confirmation pop up window.

4. Click the X icon located at the top right corner of the Brave window.
