Remove/Uninstall Add-Ons (Extensions) On Mozilla Firefox 79.0

The Mozilla Firefox software is a free open-source web browser developed by Mozilla Foundation which uses the Gecko layout engine to render web pages. The capabilities of the Mozilla Firefox web browser can be extended by installing add-ons, also known as extensions. Add-ons can block website advertisements, provide additional privacy and security, show clocks, read texts, and so on. The add-ons are created by third-party developers and some of them are recommended by Firefox based on certain criteria. You can install as many add-ons but each of them adds load to the web browser that can make it slower and freeze too. There are also add-ons that were poorly written and can cause conflicts and hanging and they should be removed. You should also removed add-ons that you do not need any more to free up system resources.

Here are the steps to remove or uninstall an add-ons (extensions) on Mozilla Firefox version 79.0 for Windows. The steps are just the same or similar to fairly older or newer versions.

1. Click the MENU icon that looks like three horizontal lines on top of each other located at the top right corner of the Mozilla Firefox window, and then click on ADD-ONS option.

2. Click the EXTENSIONS option on the left side.

3. Look for the add-ons that you want to remove and click the icon that looks like three dots arranged horizontally located at its far right end, and then choose the REMOVE option.

4. Click the REMOVE button to confirm.

5. You will now get a message that the add-ons has been removed. You can click the UNDO button if in case you do not want it remove anymore; otherwise, click the X button located at the top right corner of the Mozilla Firefox window.
