Do Not Preload Pages On Google Chrome 84.0 For Lesser Data Consumption

The Google Chrome software is a Chromium based web browser that has the option to preload pages for faster browsing and searching. It pre-fetches information from pages, including pages you have not yet visited. It uses a prediction service of the next pages that you might visit. When you visit a webpage, Chrome can look up the IP addresses of all the page's links and load the ones you might navigate to next. This settings is turned on by default, thus, websites and any embedded content that are pre-loaded may set and read their own cookies as if you had visited them, even if you don't. Information fetched may include cookies, if you allow cookies. If you are currently connected to the internet under a limited data plan, preloading of webpages can easily deplete your data plan. You can set the Google Chrome web browser not to preload pages to conserve on your data plan.

Here are the steps to set the Google Chrome web browser version 84.0 for Windows not to preload pages for lesser data consumption. The steps are just the same or similar to fairly older or newer versions.
