Web browsers like the Opera have a feature to save your online account's user name and password so that you do not have to type them in every time you login. This feature is convenient if you are the only person who is using your computer and if your operating system is password protected. On the other hand, this convenience will give away a very important security measure because anyone who could get a hold of your computer while unlocked will be able to login to your online accounts such as e-mails and banks. For optimum security, it is highly advisable to turn off the feature of offering you to save your password every time you login to your online accounts to make sure you do not inadvertently accept it.
Here are the steps to disable the feature of offering you to save your passwords every time you login to your online accounts on Opera version 68, the steps are just the same or similar to fairly older or newer versions.
1. Click the CUSTOMIZE AND CONTROL icon that is located on the top left corner of the Opera window.

2. Click the SETTINGS option.

3. Scroll down the Settings page to the bottom by using the scroller bar on the right edge of the Opera window.

4. Click the ADVANCED option once you reached the bottom of the Settings page.

5. Under the "Autofill" category, click the PASSWORDS option.

6. Click the switch labeled "Offer to save passwords" to turn it off.

7. Click the X button of the Settings tab.
