Restore Or Import Bookmarks File On Brave Browser

The Bookmarks section is where you save the web addresses of the websites that you frequently visit so that you do not have to memorize each of them. You will just do a few clicks instead of typing the web addresses of the websites into the web address bar anytime you want to access them. The Bookmarks is similar to the contacts list of your cellphone where you save the telephone numbers of people so that you do not have to memorize and key them in every time you call them. You must make a backup copy of your Bookmarks from time to time so that you will not lose them if your Brave browser became inoperable or if you need to reinstall it. You can also use the saved Bookmarks file to transfer your list to another browser or another computer.

Here are the steps to restore or import the saved Bookmarks file on Brave browser.

1. Click the CUSTOMIZE AND CONTROL button that looks like three horizontal lines on top of each other located on the top right corner of the Brave window, click the BOOKMARKS option, and then click on BOOKMARKS MANAGER option. (Alternatively, you can press the CTRL and SHIFT keys on the keyboard at the same time, while pressing them, hit the letter O key.)

2. Click the ORGANIZE button that looks like three dots arranged vertically located on the top right area of the Bookmarks page.

3. Click the IMPORT BOOKMARKS option.

4. Locate your saved Bookmarks file, which in this case, click on bookmarks_5_26_20 to highlight it. Click the OPEN button.

The saved Bookmarks list is now imported/restored on the Bookmarks page as well as on the Bookmarks Bar of the Brave browser software.
