The Google Chrome software is one of the most used browsers for desktop computers as well as on mobile devices and it also based on the Chromium engine. It features many security and performance features that you can enable or disable according to your browsing preferences. Resetting the Google Chrome will not actually reset all the settings that you made on it but it will just reset the startup page, new tab page, search engine, and pinned tabs. It will also turn off all extensions or add-ons and the purpose of this is to see if one them is actually causing the browsing problems. It will also delete all the temporary internet files and cookies that the websites that you accessed have downloaded to your computer. If you encounter problems opening webpages, you can try using the restore feature first and see if this fixed the problem else it is highly recommended to download and install the latest version.
