The Bookmarks section of the Google Chrome browser is where you save the web addresses of the websites that you frequently visit so that you do not have to memorize them one by one as well as you do not have to type their web addresses into the search bar all the time. The Bookmarks is like the contacts list on your cellular phone where you save the telephone numbers of people so that you do not have to memorize them and key them in every time you call them. Before reinstalling the Google Chrome browser or before reinstalling the operating system of the computer, you must make a backup copy of your Bookmarks first because these are saved locally and not on a network. By saving your Bookmarks, you can restore them anytime or put them on another browser on the same computer or another.
