The Brave browser is one of the many browsers that are based on the Chromium engine just like Google Chrome and Opera. Just like its counterparts, it also have a feature to save the web addresses of websites so that you do not have to memorize each of them and provides easy one click access. The Brave browser also tag each saved web addresses as bookmark, similar to the contacts list of your cellular phone. With bookmarks, you do not have to type each of the web addresses of the websites you frequently visit. As time goes by, you may accumulate saved bookmarks on your browser and it is important that you make a backup copy of them so that you will not lose them if in case you will need to reinstall the browser or reinstall the operating system of your computer.
Here are the steps to make a backup copy or export the Bookmarks of the Brave browser software.
1. Click the CUSTOMIZE AND CONTROL icon that looks like three horizontal bars on top of each other located on the top right corner of the Brave browser window.
2. Choose BOOKMARKS option, and then click on BOOKMARK MANAGER option.
3. Click the ORGANIZE icon that looks likes three dots on top of each other located on the top right area of the Bookmarks page.
4. Click the EXPORT BOOKMARKS option.
5. You will now be presented with dialogue box with save options. The file will be named bookmarks appended with the current date after it and it will be saved in the My Documents or Documents folder depending on your operating system. You can opt to choose a different name for the file and or change the location to save it. Click the SAVE button.
