Change Unit Of Measurement On Microsoft Word 2007

The Microsoft Office Word 2007 is a word processing software, simply put, it is a software for writing documents like letters, resume, stories, so forth and so on. It is the electronic version of the mechanical typewriter. By default, the unit of measurement set on the Microsoft Office Word 2007 is in inches because this product is American and the USA's standard unit of measurement is still in English. It is important to be able to choose a different unit of measurement on the Microsoft Word like if the document that you want to print has a picture that must be printed in specific measurement. For example, you can use the Microsoft Word to print an ID card on a bond paper and laminate it. Since it is easy to measure a standard ID card in millimeters, you can compose the ID picture on the Microsoft Word in millimeters instead of in inches.

Here are the steps to change the unit of measurement on Microsoft Office Word 2007.

1. Click the OFFICE button located on the top left corner of the Microsoft Word window, then choose WORD OPTIONS button.

2. Click the ADVANCED category on the left pane.

3. Scroll down the Advanced category until you reach the Display category.

4. Click the pull down menu labeled "Show measurement in units of:" and choose the unit of measurement that you need, in this case, choose the CENTIMETERS unit.
