Use Hardware Acceleration When Available On Firefox 51.0.1

The Mozilla Firefox 51.0.1 browser have a setting where it can use the graphics processor or the video adapter of the computer for best performance. If this setting is on, the Firefox browser will be able to use the power of the graphics processor to render graphics heavy content such games and videos so that the system resources of the computer can be freed up. Not only the system resources of the computer will be freed up, but it is best to render videos if it is the graphics processor that will be used to render them since this is where the graphics processor is best for. Though the option to use the the graphics processor setting is set by default on the Firefox browser, this feature is not always supported by other systems but it is best that it is turned on to get the most benefit of having the best browsing performance if available.

Here are the steps to turn on the hardware acceleration setting of the Mozilla Firefox 51.0.1.

1. Click the MENU button located on the top right corner of the Firefox 51.0.1 browser that have three horizontal bars in it, and click OPTIONS icon.


2. Click the ADVANCED category in the left pane.


3. Click the check box labeled "Use hardware acceleration when available" to put a check mark in it (which is most likely checked already since it is the default setting).


4. Click the X button located at the top right corner to close the Firefox 51.0.1 window to save the setting.
