The Firefox browser have an option to switch immediately to the page that you want to view when opening a link in a new tab. This option is very convenient because you do not have to click anymore on the new tab that you opened to view it. Other latest browsers in time with Firefox 51.0.1 does not have this option yet to switch immediately to the new tab when opening a link in new tab, which I believe they will follow suit too. Another options I wish they will incorporate in browsers are the choices to be able to open links in the background only when right-clicking them and or to switch to it immediately because there are occasions that you just want to open the link and come back to it later so that you will not forget about it. Nowadays, the browsers has become one of the most used software if not the most used and we can expect that there are more versions to come and more options incorporated.
Here are the steps to set the Firefox 51.0.1 to switch immediately to the link that you opened in new tab.
1. Click the TOOLS menu across the top of the Firefox 51.0.1 window (or press the ALT key on the keyboard and hit the letter T key) and choose OPTION.
2. Under the GENERAL tab, click the check box labeled "When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately" to put a check in it.
3. Click the X button to close and save the new setting.
