The Standard User account is a sign on account on Windows operating systems that can be created through an Administrator account. The Standard User account can do everything except changes that will affect other users like deleting operating system files, changing security settings, and installing software that will require Administrator rights. Creating Standard User account is recommended for security reasons. This is also recommended especially if your family members will also be using the same computer so that they can have their own personalization and privacy. A Standard User account can have its own sign on password and it can be removed anytime through the Administrator account if in case you want everyone on the house to use it. This is also useful if the password of the Standard User account was forgotten.
Here are the steps to remove the password of a Standard User account. (Make sure that you are currently logged on to the Administrator account to accomplish these steps.)
1. Right-click the START button and click CONTROL PANEL option.
2. Click the CHANGE ACCOUNT TYPE link under the "User Accounts and Family Safety" category.
3. Click the Standard User account that you want to remove its password.
4. Click the CHANGE THE PASSWORD link.
5. Click the CHANGE PASSWORD button.
