The AutoPlay feature of the Windows operating system makes the operation of removable devices easier by presenting options to the user on what to do or to automatically launch an application required to process the contents of the removable device. The common removable devices are the Flash Drives, camera storage (memory cards), DVDs, Blu-ray discs, and CDs. If you insert a DVD movie, the Windows 8.1 operating system can automatically play it by using the media player available on your computer like Windows Media Player. There are times that you may want to stop the AutoPlay feature because it does not mean that you will use the information saved on a removable device right away after you inserted it. You can completely stop the AutoPlay from running for all types of removable devices and you can enable it again if you do not like that action anymore.
Here are the steps to use the AutoPlay again for all media and devices on Windows 8.1.
1. Right-click the START button and choose CONTROL PANEL option.
2. Click the HARDWARE AND SOUND link.
3. Click the AUTOPLAY link.
4. Click the check box labeled "Use AutoPlay for all media and devices" to put a check in it.
5. Click SAVE button.
Here are the steps to use the AutoPlay again for all media and devices on Windows 8.1.
