Turn Off File Explorer Jump Lists On Windows 8.1

The button of the File Explorer on the Windows 8.1 Taskbar has a Jump Lists that lists the folders where you opened files so that you can easily access them again. You can access the Jump Lists by right-clicking the File Explorer button and click the folder of the file that you want to open. The Jump Lists is similar to the My Documents of the Start menu on Windows XP but the My Documents lists the files instead of the folders which is more convenient. Unfortunately, the My Documents is not present anymore on Windows 8.1 operating system. You can stop the Jump Lists from listing the folders where you opened the files for privacy reasons. Turning off the Jump Lists will also automatically erase the list and affect the Jump Lists of the Paint and Notepad buttons as well.
