Windows 8.1 Taskbar Buttons (Icons) Are Too Small

The Windows 8.1 Taskbar is the long horizontal strip in the bottom edge of the screen that has the START button on the left end and the clock at its right end, and has many colorful buttons (icons) in between. The Taskbar is one of the primary areas to begin working on the computer, it serves like a toolbox. The Windows Taskbar was first implemented in Windows 95 in the year 1995 and became the basic part of the succeeding Windows versions. Other operating systems also implements the Taskbar, which is called Dock in Macintosh OS X operating system. Most applications that are open are represented by an icon (or buttons) in the Windows 8.1 Taskbar so that it is easier to maneuver around them. If the Windows 8.1 Taskbar looks very small, this means that the Taskbar was set to use small buttons.

Here are the steps to set the Windows 8.1 Taskbar buttons to the normal size.

1. Right-click on a free area of the Taskbar and choose PROPERTIES option.

2. Click the "Use small taskbar buttons" check box to remove the check in it.

3. Click OK button.

The Taskbar is now back to its normal size.
