Determine Processor And Amount Of Memory On Windows 8.1

The CPU or Central Processing Unit or the processor for short is one of the basic part of the computer where all processes pass through, it is like the brain of the computer that processes all of the arithmetic and logical task. During the late 1990s, there were three processor manufacturers that I know which were Intel, AMD, and Cyrix wherein Intel was the most famous especially with their Pentium model. On the other hand, the memory module of the computer is also one of the basic part of the computer which stores the the task that the processor is working on. It is important to know if what kind of processor that your computer have and its speed as well as if how much memory (RAM) installed to determine if the software that you want to install meets its system requirements. The system requirements must always be met especially if you are installing top tier games like Medal of Honor, Call of Duty, etc. else they will not run as intended.

Here are the steps to determine the processor and amount of memory (RAM) installed on Windows 8.1.

Method 1:
1. Right-click on the THIS PC icon that is on the desktop view and choose PROPERTIES option.


The System window will open where you will find the processor and amount of memory (RAM) installed. In this case, the processor is an AMD E2-6110 APU with AMD Radeon Graphics R2 with 1.50 GHz clock speed, and the amount of memory (RAM) installed is 2 GB.


Method 2:
1. Right-click on the START button located in the bottom left corner of the screen and choose CONTROL PANEL option.


2. Click the "View by:" pull down menu and choose LARGE ICONS option.


3. Scroll down the Control Panel until you find the System icon.


4. Click the SYSTEM icon to open the System window.
