Turn Off Windows 8.1 Taskbar Auto-Hide

The Windows 8.1 Taskbar is the horizontal strip usually located in the bottom of the screen with the START button on its left end and the time at its right end with colorful buttons (icons) in between. The Taskbar is like the toolbox where your applications are put on for ease of access and orderliness. There are many operating systems that implements the Taskbar because of its usefulness. The Windows 8.1 Taskbar can be set to automatically hide to provide more desktop space even though the Taskbar just share a small area of the screen. If the Taskbar is not present in the screen, this means that it is set to auto-hide and you can turn off the auto-hide feature to make it always present in the screen.

Here are the steps to turn off the auto-hide feature of the Windows 8.1 Taskbar.

1. Move the mouse pointer in the bottom edge of the screen so that the Taskbar will show up, then right-click on a free area of the Taskbar and choose PROPERTIES option.


2. Click the check box for "Auto-hide the taskbar" to remove the check mark in it.


3. Click OK button.
