Switch Mouse Right-Click To Left-Click On Windows 8.1

The mouse is a computer peripheral that is used to control anything in the screen like clicking on buttons, dragging or resizing windows, grabbing an item, so forth and so on. The mouse is an input device just like the keyboard. Many years ago, personal computers did not have a mouse but only the keyboard for inputting commands. Today, the mouse is now a permanent component of the personal computers. Another input device that is becoming a regular on computers is the touchscreen, this is specially true for tablet computers and smart phones. Modern mouses have left and right buttons, a scroll wheel that also serve as the middle button, and others even have a double-click button beside the scroll wheel. The mouse is designed for right-handed people and the Window 8.1 operating system has the option to switch the right-click to left-click for left-handed people.

Here are the steps to set the mouse right-click to left-click on Windows 8.1.

1. Right-click the START button located in the bottom left corner of the screen and choose CONTROL PANEL option.

2. Click the HARDWARE AND SOUND category link.

3. Click the MOUSE link of the Devices and Printers category.

4. Click the check box for "Switch primary and secondary buttons" to put a check mark it.

5. Click OK button.
