The Windows Firewall is the default firewall of the Windows 8.1 operating system that helps the computer safe by blocking unwanted incoming connections, hackers, and malicious software either through the internet or a network. You can adjust the settings of the Windows Firewall required by your usage and you can always restore it to its default settings. However, restoring the settings to the default settings may stop some applications from working because of the exception you have made before. 4. Click the RESTORE DEFAULTS link on the left side.
5. Click the RESTORE DEFAULTS button.
6. Click YES button.
