The Internet Explorer software is the default browser of the Windows operating system and it is one of the most used browser in the world. The Internet Options panel of the Internet Explorer is the main area where you can change the settings like security and privacy. There will be times that you will experience problems opening webpages which could be caused by the browser itself due to the temporary internet files, add-ons, security settings, etc. The Internet Explorer 11 just like some of the recent versions of it have incorporated the option to reset it to the default settings to fix any problems on it. Therefore, if you suddenly experienced problems opening webpages after tinkering with the settings or installing add-ons and you cannot remember anymore if which could be causing the problem, the resetting option will come very handy. The reset option of the Internet Explorer will disable toolbars and add-ons, reset the web browser settings, reset the privacy and security settings, reset the advanced options, reset the tabbed browsing settings, and the pop-up settings. It will also reset the home pages, and reset the search providers and accelerators to their default settings. Likewise, the reset option will delete the temporary internet files, history, cookies, web form information, ActiveX Filtering data, Tracking Protection data, Do Not Track data, and saved passwords. Unfortunately, the reset option of the Internet Explorer just disables the add-ons and it cannot be used to remove them. For those malicious Add-ons that does not want to get removed, uninstalling and reinstalling the Internet Explorer 11 might be necessary.

1. Click the TOOLS icon that looks like a gear located on the top right corner of the Internet Explorer window, then click on INTERNET OPTIONS.
2. Click the ADVANCED tab of the Internet Options dialogue box.
3. Click the RESET... button.
4. Click the check box labeled "Delete personal settings" to put a check in it and click the RESET button.
5. Click the CLOSE button.
