Disable Add-Ons On Internet Explorer 11

The Internet Explorer is the default browser of the Windows 8.1 operating system and it is one of the oldest and the most used browser in the world. Just like modern browsers today, the Internet Explorer have the capability to add more features to it through the Add-ons. When I was updating the KMPLayer, the update was bundled with the Opera browser and extensions, which I missed to exclude during the installation. One of the extensions was the FindWide Toolbar that got installed on all of the browsers that are currently on the computer, and it also got installed to the computer itself, and then changes the default homepage of the browsers. There are many ways to disable an extension other than through the Add-ons panel of the browsers but also by restoring the browser to default or by uninstalling it through the "Programs and Features" section if available.

The FindWide Toolbar status is showing that it is enabled.

Here are the steps to disable Add-ons on Internet Explorer 11.

1. Click the TOOLS icon that looks like a gear located on the top right corner of the Internet Explorer window, then click MANAGE ADD-ONS option.

2. Look for the Add-on the you want to disable, which in this case, click on the FINDWIDE TOOLBAR.

3. Click the DISABLE button.

The FindWide Toolbar status is now showing disabled.
