Restart Windows 8.1 Through Right-Clicking Start Button

If a program froze and you cannot close it anymore even with using the Task Manager, there is no other option but to restart the computer. Restarting the computer is also necessary if it is not working as expected. Always keep in mind to save anything that you are working on every time you restart the computer or else they will be lost. However, this will not be the case if something that you need to save is actually on the program that froze, therefore, you can either jot down anything that you need to save or take a screen shot of the screen instead and save it on the computer. You can restart the computer with Windows 8.1 from either clicking the START button or right-clicking it.

Here are the steps to restart a computer with Windows 8.1 operating system.

1. Right-click on the START button, choose SHUT DOWN OR SIGN OUT, then click RESTART option.
