The Speakers Icon Not Present In Windows 8.1 System Tray

The new installation of Windows 8.1 operating system will put the Speaker icon in the System Tray by default. You will be able to easily access the Volume Mixer though the Speaker icon to adjust the individual loudness of each applications or programs. There would be many reasons if the Speaker icon is not present in the System Tray. One of the possible reasons if why the Speaker icon is not present in the System Tray is because the System Tray customization for the speaker is only set to show notification for it. It would be alright to hide the Speaker icon if there would be other users on the computer, especially children, so that they will not be able to adjust the volume too loud, or at least mess up with the setting. On the other hand, if listening to music is one of the usual tasks that you do on your computer, hiding the Speaker icon from the System Tray is not practical because you will often need to adjust the volume.
