Do Not Move Files To Recycle Bin On Windows 8.1

The Recycle Bin is a dedicated location in the Windows operating system where the deleted files and folders are directed by default. In this way, you will still have a chance to recover the deleted files or folders especially the ones that were inadvertently deleted. Take note however that even the files and folders that are already in the Recycle Bin still consumes hard drive space. Likewise, confidential files can be recovered and opened by another person who will use your computer. To ensure maximum security, you can set the Recycle Bin not to move any deleted files and folders in it anymore but prepare yourself to cry if you happen to delete an important file that you still need because there will be no more ways to get it back. A very good advice is to do this only if you are working on files that you are sure you do not need to recover them.

Here are the steps to set the Recycle Bin not to direct deleted files and folders in it.

1. Right-click on the RECYCLE BIN icon that is on the desktop view and click the PROPERTIES option.

2. Click the radio button that says DON'T MOVE FILES TO THE RECYCLE BIN. REMOVE FILES IMMEDIATELY WHEN DELETED..

3. Click the OK button.
