Delete Browsing History On MSIE 11.0

The MSIE 11.0 or the Microsoft Internet Explorer 11.0 is the default internet browser software of the Windows 8.1 operating system. The Microsoft Internet Explorer is one of the most used internet browser. Every time you open webpages in your browser, it leaves history of where you have been on the internet. The browser stores the temporary internet files and website files, the cookies and website data, the history, and so on. Though these items does not necessarily pose security risk except for the passwords, but they can expose your privacy once another person uses your computer and peeked through the history of your browser. Therefore, it is a good practice to delete the browsing history from time to time if not always. Also, the website files that were left on the computer consumes hard drive space, can sometime slow down browsing, and cause other problems regarding opening webpages.

Here are the steps to delete the browsing history on MSIE 11.0.

1. Click the TOOLS icon that looks like a gear that is located on the top right corner of the Microsoft Internet Explorer 11.0, then click INTERNET OPTIONS.


2. Under "Browsing history" category, click the DELETE... button.


3. The TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES AND WEBSITE FILES, COOKIES AND WEBSITE DATA, and the HISTORY are checked by default. You can also elect to tick the DOWNLOAD HISTORY, FORM DATA, PASSWORDS, and the TRACKING PROTECTION, ACTIVEX FILTERING AND DO NOT TRACK option as desired.


4. Click the DELETE button.

A message that says "Internet Explorer has finished deleting the selected browsing history." will show up in the bottom edge of the Microsoft Internet Explorer 11.0.
