Many webpages are designed with background colors or even images as background. By default, the Firefox 11.0 browser will not include the background color or the background image when printing a webpage from it. One very good reason why this is so is because it will consume too much ink when printing. The ink for printers are very expensive and after replacing ink cartridges after another, the money you spent for the ink is much more than that price of the printer itself. Another reason not to print the background of the webpages anymore when printing is that it will consume too much time during printing unless of course if you are using a high speed laser printer. However, there will be times that you will need to print the background of the webpages when printing whether it is a colored background or an image background for presentation purposes or for whatever purposes you may have.
Here are the steps to set Firefox 11.0 to include background color or image when printing webpages.
1. Click the FILE menu that is on the top left corner of the Firefox 11.0 window and click PAGE SETUP... option.
2. Click the check box for PRINT BACKGROUND (COLORS & IMAGES) to put a check in it.
3. Click OK button.
