Increase Text Size Of Windows In Windows XP

If the text in the window's headers, icon labels, menus, etc. are too small for you to read, you have the option to enlarge them through the Display settings in the Control Panel of Windows XP. This is especially helpful because computer monitors now are getting bigger and wider. The technology advancement in LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) and other display technologies made it possible to produce monitors at high aspect ratios and or higher screen resolutions at a cheaper price too. The text or font size options are based on the current theme, visual style, and color scheme. However, for some themes, styles, or schemes, you may only have one font size option though.

The screen shot above shows the My Documents window with the text in its headers, icon labels, menus, etc. are in regular size.

1. Click the START button located in the bottom left corner of the screen and click CONTROL PANEL option.

2. Click the APPEARANCE AND THEMES category.

3. Click the DISPLAY icon.

4. Click the APPEARANCE tab of the Display Properties window.

5. Under the "Font size:" drop down menu, choose EXTRA LARGE FONTS option. Or whichever size is more comfortable with you.

6. Click OK button.

The flash screen will appear to set the new font size.

This is now how the new text or font size in the My Documents window will look like.
