Adjust Left & Right Speakers Volume On Wndows XP

If you have a desktop computer with stereo speakers, meaning that the desktop computer has a left and right speakers whether they are built-in or attached to it, you can adjust the volume of each of the speakers. Or maybe even turn off one of them, which in turn will make the sound system in mono mode. But of course, why would you want to listen in mono mode because this will not give you the pleasure of hearing different musical instruments clearly and crisply. This is like going back to the early days of the radio until the stereo cassette player was invented. However, you can experiment with the balancing of the left and right speakers because there are times that the song that you are listening has a musical instrument that is being played on either left or right speaker and you wanted to focus on listening to it.

1. Click START button and click CONTROL PANEL option.

2. Click the SOUND, SPEECH, AND AUDIO DEVICES link.

3. Click the CHANGE THE SPEAKER SETTINGS link.

4. Click the SPEAKER VOLUME... button.

5. Adjust the sliders for the left and right speakers respectively.

6. Click OK button.
