Put Password To IZArc 4.1.6 ZIP File

The IZArc 4.1.6 file archiver has a very good security feature to protect files from being read if it is a document or from being seen if it is a picture by other people. In short, you can use the IZArc to protect any files whether it is a document, picture, audio, etc. This can be accomplished by putting a password protection to your archive file. The IZArc archiver usually compress the file or files into a .ZIP format. Once you put a password to your archive file, you will be prompted to type in the password that you put to it when you open a file in it. If in case there are multiple files inside the archive file (or we can also refer to it as the ZIP file), you only need to provide the password once to the first file you will open from it, then you will not be asked to enter the password again when you open the other files inside the same archive file.

1. Drag and drop the file or files that you want to archive with a password into the IZArc right pane.


2. Click the drop down menu titled "Encryption:" to show the options and choose AES - 256 BIT.


3. Click the PASSWORD button.


4. Type the password the you desire into the "Enter password:" box, then click OK button.


5. Type the same password again into the "Re-Enter Password:" box to make sure that you entered the password that you want, then click OK button.


6. Click the ADD button to start the archiving process.



You now have an archived file with a password.
