In Windows operating system, there are files that are set not to be visible and most of them are operating system files. This is one way to protect important files of the operating system from getting deleted that can of course cause problems if they got deleted. And there are times that you need to set the operating system to show the hidden files and folders particularly when troubleshooting a software like when you need to delete a file or rename it to make the software that you are working on to operate. And most especially, you will need to show the hidden files and folders if you are troubleshooting the operating system itself because how can you work on a program if you do not see its files that you need to fix.
