As time goes by, so is technology and better and better hardware are made. Now a days, 64-bit computing has becoming more and more prevalent in computing technology, though 32-bit computing will still be around for a long time for many different reasons such as, old computers that were designed in 32-bit architecture will still be widely used in all aspects of life simply because they are still very useful in accomplishing any task that our work requires. In installing software now, you now also need to consider if the software that you are installing is meant for 32-bit or 64-bit environment.
You can find if your system is a 32-bit or 64-bit environment through the Control Panel of Windows.
1. Click START button and click CONTROL PANEL option.
2. Click SYSTEM AND MAINTENANCE category.
3. Click SYSTEM option.
4. You can now find if your computer is in 32-bit or 64-bit environment under "System type:", which in this case is a 32-bit Operating System.
