Switch Control Panel To Show Icons In Windows 7

In Windows 7, Microsoft has changed the way Control Panel looks like from the previous versions of the Windows operating systems. When you go to the Control Panel of the Windows 98, you will find all the items there right away in their respective icons. In Windows XP and Windows Vista, Microsoft has changed the Control Panel view to category, where the items are now hidden but are now represented by their respective categories, but you still have the option to show only the respective icons of the items by switching to the classic view. In Windows 7, the Control Panel is also in category view but the option to switch to the classic view has been removed, though you still have the option to show the items in their respective icons only but in different method. In Windows 7, the Control Panel opens in category view by default and you can switch it to "Large icons" or "Small icons" views.

1. Click START and click CONTROL PANEL option.

2. Click the drop down menu for "View by:" and choose either LARGE ICONS or SMALL ICONS.

NOTE: The one with the round bullet is the current view.
