Set Default Download Folder For Firefox 3.5.2

The default download folder of the Firefox browser is C:\Desktop\My Documents\Downloads and you can change this to a different folder. Or, if you have a partition on the hard drive for your personal files, you can direct the download to that partition instead. If you are not used to using the Firefox browser and you downloaded a file from the Internet or from your e-mail, you will start scratching your head if where the file went after you downloaded it because in the first place, Firefox did not even tell you if where it is going to download the file. What you just did is to download the file with all your belief that you can find it afterward right then and there.

NOTE: In case you just installed the Firefox browser and downloaded a file but you do not know where to locate it, the default download folder of the Firefox browser is C:\Desktop\My Documents\Downloads and you can find the file there.

Here are the steps to set a default download folder of your choice for Firefox 3.5.2 on Windows.

1. Click the FIREFOX icon on the desktop view to launch it.

2. Click the TOOLS menu on the Firefox toolbar across its top and choose OPTIONS....

3. Click the MAIN tab. Click the BROWSE... button under the "Downloads" category.

4. Choose the folder that you want to be the default download folder by clicking it so that it will highlight. In this example, the My Pictures folder will be used.

5. Click OK button on the Options window.
