Clear All History In Firefox 3.5.2

The way to clear the history in the Firefox 3.5.2 has changed a bit from the previous version of Firefox browser. It is important clear the history from time to time not only for security reason but also to make the browser run faster. Once the history have accumulated in the browser's storage, particularly the cache, it can slow down the browser when loading web pages because it has to go through the saved web pages files on the computer when loading web pages to check if there are already saved files of the web pages that it can use for the web pages that you are trying to load.

Browser cache also known as temporary internet files are small bits of files of the web pages that are being saved on your computer when you visit them.

Clearing the browser cache will also give you updated content of the web site that you frequently visit because the web site will download new web pages files to the computer for your Firefox browser to use.

Here are the steps to clear all the history on the Firefox 3.5.2 browser for Windows particularly the Browsing & Download History, Form & Search History, Cookies, Cache, Active Logins, and Site Preferences.

1. Double-click the FIREFOX icon on the desktop to launch it or click the START button, choose ALL PROGRAMS, choose MOZILLA FIREFOX, then click MOZILLA FIREFOX.


2. Click the TOOLS menu on the Firefox toolbar across the top and choose CLEAR RECENT HISTORY....


3. Click the box for "Time range to clear:" to show the pull down menu and choose EVERYTHING.


4. Click the DETAILS button to show all the history that you can delete. You can check or uncheck the items that you want to clear or not.


5. Click the CLEAR NOW button.
