After installing Windows XP operating system, the desktop background picture also known as the Wallpaper is defaulted to a green meadow. This can be changed into a different picture even to your own personal picture. There are now also thousands of available desktop wallpaper that you can download from the Internet for free. If you are a car lover, you can't miss finding too many pictures of cars that can be used as your desktop wallpaper. You can also use the logo of your company to show in the middle of the desktop view.
1. Right-click on an empty area on the desktop view and choose PROPERTIES.
2. Click the DESKTOP tab.
3. The desktop background is originally set to the BLISS, which is the green meadow picture. Choose any of the pictures listed on the "Bacground:" box, like AUTUMN.
4. Click OK button.
The desktop background picture is now new.
