Change Date & Time On Windows 10 Through Control Panel

The clock on Windows 10 operating system has improved aesthetically and its options setup are more accessible to the user through the Settings panel but you can still go to the classic Control Panel and adjust the time there. If you are unable to change the time through the new Settings panel, the best course is to go through the Control Panel which is more powerful when controlling the system. By default, the clock is synchronized to the clock on the Microsoft server. The clock now plays a very important role on the Windows 10 operating system because it is being used to track you to deliver content based on your locality such as news and weather.

Here are the steps to adjust the date and time on Windows 10 through the Control Panel.

1. Right-click on the START button usually located at the bottom left corner of the screen and click on the RUN option. (Alternatively, you can press down the WINDOWS key that is in between the CTRL and ALT keys of the keyboard, and then hit the letter R key.)

2. Type control panel into the "Open:" field box. Click the OK button afterwards.

3. Click the CLOCK AND REGION category.

4. Click the DATE AND TIME category.

5. Click the CHANGE DATE AND TIME... button under the DATE AND TIME tab of the Date and Time dialogue window.

6. Set your date and time. Click the OK button to save the new setting.
