Set Mozilla Firefox Version 76 Not To Offer Saving Of Password

There are internet companies like Google with many websites such as Gmail, Blogger, YouTube, etc. that requires signing on to each of them. Many years ago, you have to register to each of them and sign on one at a time until the unified login was introduced. This means that you only need register to one of their websites and you are basically registered to all of their websites. Therefore, you only need one login credential, basically, the e-mail address to login to any of their websites. Browsers today like the Mozilla Firefox have features to automatically save your login credentials which are the e-mail address and its password so that you do not have type them in every time you sign on. This is convenient especially if you have many registered online accounts that you login all the time but this also pose security risk because anyone who sits in front of your computer can sign on anytime. For privacy and security reasons, it is a very good practice not to save your login credentials in the browsers.

Here are the steps to set the Mozilla Firefox version 76 browser not to offer saving of passwords when signing on to websites. These steps are just the same or similar to fairly older or newer versions.

1. Click the MENU icon that looks like three horizontal lines arranged on top of each other located at the top right corner of the Mozilla Firefox window. Click OPTIONS from the menu.

2. Click the PRIVACY & SECURITY category on the left pane.

3. Scroll down the Browser Privacy page by using the scroll bar on the right edge. (Alternatively, you can also use the mouse scroller if available or the arrow down key of the keyboard to scroll down.)

4. Click the tick box labeled "Ask to save logins and passwords for websites" to remove the check in it.

5. Click the red X button located at the top right corner of the Mozilla Firefox window to close the browser.
