The Google Chrome browser have many ways to customize it and some of these options cannot be found in the Settings page. These some options that cannot be found in the Settings page are still in experimental stage that is why they are still hidden but are already available to advanced users. Tweaking these hidden options may lose you browser data or compromise your security and privacy. One of these hidden options I want to tackle is the smooth scrolling. By default, the scrolling of the page content is smooth, which of course use more system resources of the computer. You can disable the smooth scrolling feature not only to free up the system resources but also to be able to scroll the page content faster.
Here are the steps to disable the smooth scrolling on Google Chrome.
1. Type chrome://flags into the web address box of the Google Chrome, then hit the ENTER key on the keyboard.
2. Scroll down the page until you get to the Smooth Scrolling item.
3. Click the pull down menu on the right side of the Smooth Scrolling item and choose DISABLED option.
4. Click the RELAUCH NOW button for the changes to take effect.
