The HTTPS-Only Mode in Firefox forces all connections to websites to use a secure encrypted connection called HTTPS. Most websites nowadays support https or both. Enabling this mode forces the Firefox browser to upgrade automatically to HTTPS to make sure the connection between the browser and the server is secure. This means that the data being sent to and from the computer and the server is encrypted. In this way, no one will be able to snoop on the information that is being communicated like usernames and passwords. The problem with the regular HTTP protocol is that the data transferring from server to browser is not encrypted, meaning data can be viewed, stolen or altered. Once you have HTTPS connection, your information cannot be hacked like to steal your passwords, credit card, and any incriminating data. This option is very helpful if you are connecting through a Wi-Fi or public connections.
Here are the steps to set the Mozilla Firefox to upgrade the communication to HTTPS only.
1. Click the MENU icon located at the top right corner of the Mozilla Firefox window, and then click SETTINGS option.

2. Click the PRIVACY & SECURITY category on the left pane.

3. Scroll down the Privacy & Security page by using the scroller on the right edge until you get to the HTTPS-Only Mode category.

4. Click the radio button labeled "Enable HTTPS-Only Mode in all windows" to enable it.

5. Click the red X button located at the top right corner to close Firefox window.
